Meetings
Two meetings are organised by the NZSSD annually:
- The Annual Scientific Meeting and Annual General Meeting is the premier meeting, rotating around the country, with invited international and national experts giving Plenary sessions and focussed topic reviews. There are also scientific presentations by clinicians and basic scientists in oral and poster fora.
- The Physicians Clinical Weekend is is a valuable learning experience for new and experienced clinicians, with challenging cases being selected for open discussion along with national diabetes issues.
Additionally the Diabetes Nurses Group and the Dietitians’ Special Interest Group of the New Zealand Dietetics Association usually hold meetings the day before the NZSSD Annual Scientific Meeting.
