Members Sign InThe New Zealand Society for the Study of Diabetes (NZSSD) is the leading diabetes organisation in Aotearoa New Zealand and the national advisory body on diabetes clinical and scientific matters.
The NZSSD membership is multidisciplinary and comprises disciplines involved in diabetes integrated care and services across the lifespan. The NZSSD collaborates with Diabetes New Zealand and other advocacy groups for people with lived experience.
The NZSSD's primary objectives are to address the inequities being experienced by people with diabetes, ensure that the best standards of care are being achieved, and provide clear clinical guidance about diabetes care.
To promote the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in diabetes.
To promote interest in, and improve the clinical practice of, diabetes.
To promote basic and clinical research into diabetes.
To hold scientific meetings annually.
