About NZSSD

The New Zealand Society for the Study of Diabetes (NZSSD) is the leading diabetes organisation in Aotearoa New Zealand and the national advisory body on diabetes clinical and scientific matters.

The NZSSD membership is multidisciplinary and comprises disciplines involved in diabetes integrated care and services across the lifespan. The NZSSD collaborates with Diabetes New Zealand and other advocacy groups for people with lived experience.

The NZSSD's primary objectives are to address the inequities being experienced by people with diabetes, ensure that the best standards of care are being achieved, and provide clear clinical guidance about diabetes care.

Our Goals

To promote the advancement and dissemination of knowledge in diabetes.
To promote interest in, and improve the clinical practice of, diabetes.
To promote basic and clinical research into diabetes.
To hold scientific meetings annually.

Membership

Financial membership of the NZSSD permits reduced fees to all meetings, access to awards and national and international updates and our newsletter.

12 months financial membership is required to access the ASM Assistance Grant and other professional development awards.

Our membership fee is for 12 months from the month you join the society, and annually thereafter. There is an option to pay for 3 years at a time on request.
