On behalf of the organising committee it is my pleasure to welcome you to the conference website for the 45th New Zealand Society for the Study of Diabetes Annual Scientific meeting to be held 13-14 May, 2022.
After a two year absence, we are thrilled to reintroduce the Special Interest Days for diabetes nurses, primary care clinicians, diabetes registrars, dietitians and podiatrists.
In 2022 the conference will be a hybrid meeting – you can attend either remotely or in person.
We have had overwhelming enthusiasm to meet together if we possibly can. We know there are many uncertainties, so we have decided to hold a hybrid meeting this year. Either way we have had a fabulous number of abstracts submitted and the meeting promises to be two days of stimulating presentations and collegial discussion, and a celebration of all the work we do in our diabetes whānau.
We will be meeting at Shed 6, Queens Wharf, right on Wellington’s waterfront venueswellington.com
We will also have an interactive virtual meeting for all the presentations as well as poster viewing, connecting to Sponsors and Exhibitors, and an opportunity to join the online networking soiree to chat, reconnect and meet new people.
Presentations will be pre-recorded with live Q&A.
You can register to attend in person or to attend only virtually with a reduced registration fee. In-person attendance is currently limited to 200 people, so register now so that we can meet kanohi ki te kanohi.
Early bird registration closes 24 April 2022.
If you need any financial help with attendance NZSSD has a number of travel grants that you can apply for, or get in touch to discuss further.
