Eli Lilly Awards

Lilly Partnership in Diabetes Achievement Awards

The Lilly Partnership in Diabetes Achievement Awards are an annual recognition programme that celebrates the inspiring achievements of people of all ages who live with diabetes or who have contributed to the lives of others with diabetes. Those recognised do not have to be well known or famous for their achievements, they can be everyday people who have accomplished or are achieving outstanding things.

The Eli Lilly Specialist Research Award recognises and supports diabetes research in New Zealand by providing an award of $40,000 to health professionals wishing to commence or continue a career of research in Diabetes Mellitus.

The Eli Lilly Diabetes Nurse Specialists Research Award recognises and supports diabetes research in New Zealand by providing a $10,000 grant to nurses who are members of either the NZSSD or the DNS section of the NZNO, wishing to undertake research in Diabetes Mellitus.

Applicants should initially submit a one page summary of their proposed research. These will be reviewed by the judges and full applications called for where projects are deemed to be appropriate.
